The Honourable Jerome K. Fitzgerald was appointed Minister of Education, Science and Technology of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas.

 

The Honourable Jerome K. Fitzgerald was appointed Minister of Education, Science and Technology of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas on 10th May, 2012.  He previously served as a Senator from 2007-2012. Minister Fitzgerald is an attorney-at-law called to the English and Bahamian Bars in 1991.  In 1989 he obtained his Masters in Law degree from King’s College, University of London and in 1992 a Masters of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Shipping, Trade and Finance from City University Business School, London.  During the period 2002-2007 he served as the Deputy Chairman and Council Member of The College of The Bahamas where he served as Chairman of the Finance Sub-committee and also served on the Board of the Education Loan Authority during this time. He and his wife Zarina of twenty one years have three children: Edward, Jared and Zara.
