On Wednesday, November 26, 2025, The Rotary Clubs of Abaco, East Nassau, Old Fort, and South East Nassau successfully hosted a dynamic vocational seminar for the 12th-grade students of S.C. Bottle High School in Cooper’s Town, Abaco. Students were highly engaged throughout the sessions, which covered Financial Literacy, Digital Literacy & Cybersecurity, and Job Preparedness. The seminar equipped them with practical knowledge on managing money, staying safe online, building their professional identity, and preparing for the transition into adulthood and the working world. Their enthusiasm and thoughtful questions showed just how meaningful and timely this information was as they prepare for life beyond high school.
This impactful initiative was made possible through the collaboration of dedicated Rotarians and partners, including @Azaleta, Past President Caroline Young-Forbes (RCA), Rotarian Nadecia Whylly (RCA), Katrina Johnson (RCEN), Michael Stuart – Vocational Director (RCEN), PE Lashanta Smith (RCOF), IPP Derek Smith (RCOF), Ashley Bodie (Cable Bahamas Ltd.), and Keenan Johnson. Their commitment to youth empowerment and service truly brought the event’s purpose to life. Together, we continue to live this year’s Rotary theme, “United for Good,” by investing in the next generation of leaders.
Our Rotary family proudly goes BLUE for Prostate Cancer Awareness! 💙
Today, our members came together in solidarity — not just to wear a colour, but to strengthen a message that saves lives.
Prostate cancer affects millions of men worldwide, and many cases go undetected until it’s too late. By standing together, we’re helping to break the silence, raise awareness, and encourage early screening.
💙 We wear blue to honour the men who are fighting.
💙 We wear blue to remember those we’ve lost.
💙 We wear blue to support the fathers, brothers, husbands, sons, and friends who mean so much to us.
Rotary is committed to educating our community, promoting early detection, and reminding every man:
Check it. Don’t regret it.
Thank you to our incredible members for showing up, showing out, and showing BLUE. Together, we continue to serve — and to save lives.
