SEASONING PARTY & FELLOWSHIP
It was the day before the Great Edwin Smiley Bastian Steak-Out. South East Nassau turned it into a fellowship where they seasoned the steak and chicken in preparation for the grills. While a few were in the kitchen, Director Dagni and her team were busy decorating the poster boards for the Columbus Primary Back to School Red Carpet Event.

The recent Edwin Smiley Bastian Steak Out fundraiser proved to be a remarkable success, bringing together Rotarians, and supporters for an day of camaraderie, and delicious food. Held on a rainy day, the event attracted a large crowd, all eager to contribute to a cause that has long been a annual and successful event of the club.
From the moment guests arrived, the atmosphere buzzed with excitement. The tantalizing aroma of grilled chicken and steaks filled the air, setting the tone for a day that would be as enjoyable as it was impactful. Rotarians and volunteers, who worked tirelessly behind the scenes, ensured that everything ran smoothly, from the cooking of the steaks to the organization of the food distribution.
In addition to the mouth-watering food, the event featured a Beer Garden, Conch Fritters ,a DJ and pastries were sold by our Rotaract Club of South East Nassau Centennial. These elements added to the festive spirit, encouraging guests to open their hearts and wallets in support of the causes championed by the Edwin Smiley Bastian Steak Out Fundraiser.
The funds raised during the Steak Out will go towards a range of community initiatives.

Rotary South East Nassau rolled out the red carpet to welcome the students of Columbus Primary back for the new academic year with a flair of glamour and excitement. On September 2nd, the entrance gate of the school grounds was transformed into a Hollywood-style extravaganza, complete with a red carpet, and smiling Rotarians ready to greet students as they arrived.

Ms. Jaime Winter, sponsored by Michaela Bethell-Stuart. Jaime is currently employed at Queen’s College High School as a Science and Biology Teacher and is a graduate of the University of the Bahamas. Jaime has achieved several notable accomplishments in her career. She received an award in April 2024 for helping her students achieve top marks in Biology on the BECSE exam. Additionally, she is a member of the Animal Justice League at Queen’s College and is actively involved in her community through her participation in Central Baptist Church.
Ms. Michelle Lewis, sponsored by Azaleta Ishmael-Newry. Michelle is currently employed at the Bahamas Telecommunications Company (BTC) as a Service Manager and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. In addition to her degree, Michelle has completed several training programs in Social Media, Project Management, and Sales and Marketing.
