Last week our speakers were mothers from The Rotary Club of Southeast Nassau. The mothers who spoke to the club were Kelly Frendo, Tanishka Parker, Azaleta Ishmael-Newry and Cerys Howells. The discussion was moderated by Director Candice Hepburn. The mothers spoke to the club about the joys and challenges of motherhood and responded to questions from those in attendance. Some of the topics discussed were challenges such as depression, feeding, balancing work and taking care of a child and lack of sleep. The club got an appreciation of the amount of work mothers put into raising children and the immense effort involved. All of the mothers were happy that they had the opportunity to have such a great impact in their children's lives. Other mothers in attendance also chimed in and gave insights into their experiences. The Rotary Club of Southeast Nassau is very grateful to the mothers who shared their experiences with the club as this month is Rotary's Maternal and Child Health Month.
