SEPTEMBER 2025 Meeting Schedule

Sept 10th Meeting Highlights

Last week Mrs. Hallnika Bodie-Bain schooled us. It was a fun-filled presentation that included a pop quiz or two. Mrs. Bain explained the different types of individuals found in the classroom and how they are best taught. Additionally, she took some time to explain the "D average" and the 8-scale grading system used in national exams. Some of us now feel better about this and others are still not convinced.

However, we are all comforted that despite this, teachers are still making progress. Mrs. Bain took us through the metrics for her own department and how it has continually improved over the last few years.

ROTARIANS IN ACTION
Snack Attack 2025
On behalf of the the Rotary Club of South East Nassau and the Kiwanis Club of Cable Beach it gives us great pleasure to extend our support to the K-Kids Club at Eva Hilton Primary School.

Our organizations believes strongly in investing in the next generation, and it is through initiatives such as this partnership that we can help equip our young leaders with the tools they need to succeed. To that end, we are delighted to present school supplies to the K-Kids as part of our ongoing commitment to service, leadership, and community development.

We are confident that these resources will not only support their academic journey but also encourage them to embrace the value of teamwork, service and leadership that both Kiwanis and Rotary seek to instill in youth.

We look forward to continuing this partnership and to finding new ways to positively impact the students of Eva Hilton Primary School. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to serve and contribute to the growth of your students.

On Tuesday, September 16th, 2025, we attended Queen’s College where the Rotary Club of South East Nassau, along with other clubs, was honored with a Certificate of Appreciation 👏.

This recognition celebrates the support we gave in July to help prepare the school before its opening.
