Greeting Rotarians! It is meeting week and you are invited! July 24th @ 1:00 pm at the Nassau Yacht Club where our guest speaker is
H.E. Dr. David M. Burrows
H.E. Dr. David Burrows will speak on Transformational Leadership. What is the number one problem in the world? Crime, war, climate change? The number one problem is actually leadership. Currently, approximately 1% of the world controls 99% of the wealth. Leadership determines the direction of countries, companies and organizations and leadership determines how resources are distributed. The leader with a Transformational mindset changes paradigms and creates benefits that accrue on all levels, not just an elite group. Transformational leaders deploy rather than employ. They release into purpose rather than retain for service.

President Ruth Bethell and the board of the Rotary Club of South East Nassau are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Davone Rolle as the club’s 2024-2025 Peace Ambassador.
As Peace Ambassador, Dr. Davone will champion the club’s peace initiatives and work closely with its youth partners including earlyact and interact members to promote peace and conflict resolution within their schools and the wider community.
Promoting Peace is one of Rotary International’s Seven Areas of Focus, and this year the Rotary Club of SouthEast Nassau is excited to have Dr. Rolle serve in such an instrumental role. Promoting peace not only serves as a foundation for social stability, it helps to break down stereotypes and prejudices and serves as a catalyst for developing the well-being of individuals and communities across the globe.

As an avid sports fan, President Stephanie Urchick is well-positioned to light the lamp, clear the bases, and split the uprights. Whatever the sports metaphor, she’s destined to keep Rotary in the winner’s circle
